Really? I am Cuban American...I have olive skin...tans really well. Unfortunately, I sort of gain an orange/yellowish tint in the winter. *sigh* But w/e...my ex-bf was like...asprin. Pale. White. And freckles. I'm like the opposite. Dark skin, dark hair, greenish-gold eyes, no freckles. WEWT!

WEWT! I'm the opposite of you, Para; and more like your ex bf. My heritage is Polish and a small portion Romanian, so I'm pretty pale. See, my grandparents on my mom's side were born in Poland and moved here during World War II to escape the Holocaust I believe, even thought they're not Jewish. And they still speak active Polish, though I know like 3 words. My mom's first language was Polish and second was English; though she speaks really fluent English now and you could never tell. (She doesn't speak much Polish now though she says she can understand what her parents (my grandparents) are talking about when they speak Polish. And my great-grandparents on my dad's side were born in Poland, though somewhere on my dad's side somebody was born in Romania. (I forget) So I'm pretty much 90% Polish and 10% Romanian, I believe; and my heritage being as such; I have bright green eyes (slightly darker than Toph's), dark blond hair, pale skin and a TON of freckles. (I swear, in the summer; they practically cover my entire face there's so many of them; and I'm one big brown blob ) So yea; I don't tan easily. (I burn, and I burn bad; I don't tan) (Like when we went to South Carolina for 5 days; I practically laid out on a chair at the pool or beach every day w/ sunscreen most of the time, though some days I went without any; and I wasn't any darker when I got home. ) Man are we off-topic, talking about heritages, tanning and appearances. And I'm supposed to moderate this stuff and make sure everybody's ON TOPIC. So yea, I'd really like to state my claim about why I love Zutara here and why I think it'll become canon; but I have to go to bed because I have school tomorrow and don't have enough time to write anymore. (Inner concience mutters something about, 'Then why did you write this whole long thing about your heritage and appearances, ect.?' to which I respond, 'Shut up already and let me sleep' )

That was an off-topic post. Paraiba, you ARE the weakest link, goodbye.
But I think Taang is cooliest for 3 reasons:
Aang and Toph are closer in age which counts FOR NOW.
Toph's attitude is so different from Aang, it could very well intrigue him and pique his curiosity
She strikes me as somebody with a lot of love contained within her, she certainly seems like she could be passionate.
That was the girliest sentance I've ever said. I need to spend time with VP.

Okay, here goes...
I guess for me, Katara and Aang's relationship symbolizes everything.
It has drama, the bonds between two people that are strong and unbreakable, it has pain, it has conflict, it has romance, it has the potential to be anything and everything.
Aang is the Avatar and as such how does that reflect on their relationship. Should he fall in love? Is he allowed to? The potential forbidden angle is interesting. How will him being the Avatar affect Katara and their relationship should they marry and start a family?
They are both growing and maturing, it's been interesting to see them discover new things about themselves and to see new feelings awaken. Aang's adorable as he trips his way through trying to tell Katara he loves her.
There's an interesting tension between them and I like to think that when they get a little older, that will play into a passionate relationship. Already they are devoted to each other, they are willing to sacrifice much for each other.
Aang's given Katara opportunities she wold have only dreamed about, he's given her the world. Katara's given Aang the unconditional support and love he needs.
The misconception that this ship is boring is outrageous. Katara and Aang's relationship would be anything but boring. They are both multi-faceted characters and the romance they would form would be that way well. This ship is not all sugar either. We've seen Aang's Avatar state darken his personality. We've seen Katara's jealousy and temper rear its ugly head. There is a definite potential for conflict.
I can't wait to see what's in store for them next. Their relationship is obviously evolving and changing, just as they are.

Hello. I'm a troll. Booo! Try and get rid of me! I'm a bad seed. Or maybe I'm just misunderstood... not all trolls are bad. Some of us like Avatar! The point of a troll is to be annoying and you are just boring. Denied. Anyway, since Amira already did Kataang... Sokka/The LadiesTo be frank, Sokka gets around and I think he can work well with all of the girls he "get around" with. Sokka/Yue is tragic, Sokka/Suki is hot (for lack of a better description ), Sokka/Toph is sarcastic, Sokka/Ty Le is cute, Sokka/Azula is intriguing, and so and so forth.
