Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, died while filming a kids documentery. He was swimming with sting rays, and he stung in the heart by one. Doctars say that he died instantly, and that at least he died doing what he loved. R.I.P. Steve, you were an insparation to the world.

I heard about it, and whilst I never really watched his show, it's a very sad thing. ): May he rest in peace, and I hope that his family copes with it well.
As kataralovesaang said, at least he died doing something he loved.

Personally, I wasn't that big of fan of Steve but I respected what he did for wildlife and my greatest sympathies go to wards his family. Also I was lurking around through various sites and found this: They sent him a text message for father's day saying they loved him. He never got it. (They being the family. Also they sent him a father's day message because in Australia father's day was Sunday)

Later that night I watched the special on it on T.V. and all the old videos they showed. My family and I used to watch him before he kind of went all kooky with the stunt with his baby son and we kind of stopped watching him that much after that; this was the first time in a couple years I've seen him on T.V. and it was sad. I was talking about it with my friends, though; and said it was kind of ironic that he died by a freak accident; and that he died by a stingray, not a crocodile, alligator or snake. (I always thought if he died, it would be by one of those animals)

To be honest, after he held his baby near a crocodile, or whatever the hell it was, I lost major respect points for him. I don't care if it's tranquilized, you just don't do that. But I am sad that he died. It is a shame.

I watched his shows a long time ago. Not too long but a few years ago... they were really cool! I was always afraid he'd die from a croc... poor guy.
